As a psychologist, I built my practice during the challenges of COVID. Like many of you, I dove into trainings and read countless resources on how to connect with potential clients. The advice always emphasized networking and visibility—but during the shutdowns and the years that followed, those strategies felt almost impossible to implement. 

When PSYPACT went live, I was among the first to apply. I knew I had the skills to help clients across state lines, but there was a major obstacle: clients couldn’t find me. I joined a few online directories, but they didn’t align with what I needed as a psychologist. The leads I received reflected that mismatch, and I felt frustrated, knowing there were people I could help if only they could connect with me. 

After some soul-searching, I took an unconventional step: I joined TikTok. It was nerve-wracking, but it worked. My presence there helped potential clients understand who I was and what I offered, and it allowed me to grow my practice across state lines. 

As I continued supporting clients and their families, I frequently advised them to look for PSYPACT providers—yet there was no easy way for them to do so. I kept waiting for someone to create a directory that truly worked for psychologists and the clients who needed them. After four years of waiting, I realized: I could be that someone. 

That’s why I created this directory—to bridge the gap between psychologists and the people they’re uniquely equipped to help.
